OJALA WISH LIST
Have a look at our current list of wishes for OJALá. Of course we will gladly accept a donation toward any of the following needs for our program or tell us the wish you would like to see happen and we will tie you to another donor to see it through! We have a PAY PAL link on at www.ojala-ninos.org ~ where you can donate with a credit card or email to elsmarie@ojala-ninos.org for information on mailing a donation.
WE REALLY NEED:
- Pesos for finish work around the classroom/library area
- Money for local teachers......up to $850 pesos per week.....approx. $67 U.S.
- Bi-lingual volunteers for afternoon English classes.
- One large screen television for educational videos.
- A van or small school bus to transport kids on field trips and to bring kids from other ranchos to OJALA classes.
- A Spanish speaking writer/author to teach a creative writing class.
- Visits from medical and health professionals for classes or exams.
- Small or LARGE weekly donations for art supplies and materials, gasoline, and operating expenses.
- Veronica's new job for OJALA is opening and closing the daily programs, making the work area accessible to the ninos and assisting teachers getting to and from town. This would be her regular job and she will be paid $600 pesos per week or about $47......we are looking for one, or more, donors to cover this expense.
